The Ronco Pocket Fisherman

I love fishing. I grew up either fishing or hunting with my Dad probably 30 weekends a year. When I was 2 I could not hold a fishing rod, and Dad bought a Ronco Pocket fisherman for me. I still have it.

This set off my love of the outdoors, unfailing devotion to my father, and fascination with anything that Ron Popiel put on TV. When we were not fishing I watched fishing shows and infomercials on Saturday mornings after the cartoons were over, while holding my Ronco Pocket Fisherman.

My Dad is a salesman, and that was my great ambition, to be a salesman. I am proud to have followed in the great tradition of relationship based selling he taught me. His method was pure Dale Carnagie, and its leadership principles still work today.
